The Advantages of Estrostep® Fe

Taking Estrostep Fe means you are taking an active role in your sexual and overall health.

• Low estrogen. (Some estrogen side effects may include: nausea, headache, bloating and breast tenderness.) Estrostep Fe only gives you a small amount of estrogen in the early days of the cycle.
  
  
• Good cycle control. Can mean less unscheduled bleeding or spotting. Some women have "breakthrough bleeding" later in their cycles if they don’t have enough estrogen. Estrostep Fe gradually increases the estrogen dose later in the cycle.
  
  
• Improvement of moderate acne. Estrostep Fe may also be taken to treat moderate acne in females who are at least 15 years of age, have started having menstrual periods, are able to use the Pill and want the Pill for birth control, plan to stay on the Pill for at least six months, and have not improved with acne medications that are put on the skin.
  
  
• Menstrual relief. Estrostep Fe can help decrease monthly cramps, make periods more regular (every four weeks), and lighten your blood flow.
  
  
• Noncontraceptive benefits. Estrostep Fe can also decrease the risk of several medical conditions:
  
  
  • Anemia due to iron deficiency
  • Ectopic (tubal) pregnancy
  • Noncancerous cysts or lumps in the breast
  • Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), which is an infection of the ovaries, tubes, and uterus
  • Cancer of the ovaries and cancer of the lining of the uterus
